Our Senior Pastors

Pastor Stephen and Rahat Sadiq have faithfully led Sandeep Jeewan Church since planting the church in 2004. Together, they lead with unity, faith, and a heart for serving the community.

Pastor Stephen began his ministry journey at the age of 16 and served alongside his father, the late Pastor Sadiq Masih, a pioneering church planter in Pakistan. These formative years shaped the shepherd’s heart he brings to SJC today.

In 2004, Pastor Stephen and Rahat planted Sandeep Jeewan Church with a vision to establish New Zealand’s first Pakistani church. Today, SJC continues to reach the South Asian community and beyond, sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and serving people from diverse backgrounds.

Together, Pastor Stephen and Rahat have also served in international missions, encouraging churches beyond their local community. With over 30 years of faithful ministry, they continue to guide SJC as a Christ-centred community rooted in love, discipleship, and mission.

Our story

What began over 20 years ago as a vision to establish the first Pakistani church in New Zealand has grown into a vibrant, multicultural church in Auckland. While honouring our South Asian roots, we have become a diverse community of people united by faith in Jesus Christ. We are passionate about Jesus, people, and community. Our heart is to create a welcoming and authentic environment where individuals and families can encounter God, grow in faith, and build meaningful relationships.

We exist to reach, serve, and influence the South Asian community and beyond, while creating a place where everyone can find belonging, hope, and purpose in Christ. Our desire is to see lives transformed through the love and power of Jesus and to help people grow in their relationship with Him.

Come as you are

Whatever your age, culture, or life experience, there is a place for you here.  We start our Sundays in worship, lifting up the name of Jesus together, followed by a practical Bible message that encourages faith and helps you live it out in everyday life. We then enjoy fellowship together over tea and refreshments, a relaxed time to connect, meet new people, and build community.

We also run a Kids Church programme during every service. A safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus in a way that’s meaningful for them.

Bring your family and join us this Sunday. We would love to welcome you.

Our Beliefs

To know Christ, grow in Christ, and make Him known

Our Beliefs

  • We are a Pentecostal Church

We are a Pentecostal church rooted in the Word of God and led by the power of the Holy Spirit. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)

  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

  • We believe in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that salvation is found through faith in Him alone.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” (John 3:16)

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

  • We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers to live transformed lives and to serve God with boldness.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses.” (Acts 1:8)

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

  • We believe in the authority of Scripture as the foundation for faith and life.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life.

“For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven…” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

“Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20)

  • Our faith shapes how we live, serve, and love, seeking to honour God and reflect His grace in all that we do.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
